Danna Abbott
Kindergarten Teacher
My name is Danna Abbott, I was born in Salisbury and attended local schools. I have an elementary education degree from the University of Florida. (Go Gators) I started teaching at ACDC when my children were young. They both now live is Salisbury with their families. In fact, I even had my granddaughter in Kindergarten. ACDC has been my home for many years, I wish for all the children that attend ACDC to leave with a love of learning and school.

Kelly Bascow
Aide
My name is Kelly Bascow. I'm excited to start my first year working at Asbury as an aide in the 2's class. My husband and I live in Salisbury. We have 2 boys, one that went to Asbury and one is a current student. I received my bachelors from The University of Scranton and my masters from Temple University. I was recently the Head Basketball Coach at Salisbury University for 12 years. I'm looking forward to this new adventure, getting to make an impact on the students and having more time with my own kids.

Molly Byer
3’s Teacher/Aide
My name is Molly Byer. I work in the 3’s classrooms. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with the ACDC students at Asbury. It is incredible to see the growth they make socially and academically. I have been married to my husband, David Byer, for 21 years. We met when we were attending Salisbury State University. While there, I received my degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Communication Arts. Years later, I also received my Masters in Education. Although my husband and I grew up on the western shore, we fell in love with Salisbury and decided to make it our home. I love working at Asbury! I’m thankful for a job that makes me smile every day!

Amy Culbertson
2’s Teacher
Hi! My name is Amy Culbertson. I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I have taught Preschool for 20 years. I am married to Matt and we have three grown children Walter, Madeline and Charles. We are a military family and my husband retired after 35 years in the Marine Corps. We are excited to be back on the Eastern Shore and we live in Public Landing. Asbury was my church when I was a little girl and I am thankful to be here!

Marley Duchaine
2’s Teacher
My name is Marley Duchaine and I am the older 2’s Monday, Wednesday Friday teacher! I have three daughters of mine who are 9, 5, and 3, Two of them have attended Asbury. I have a bachelors degree in art education from Longwood University and I have a background in teaching two year olds, pre-K and kindergarten. I have also been a nanny to infants and toddlers, as well as a summer camp counselor. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends, go to the beach, go shopping, and watch movies. I am excited for a fun school year!

Hi! I am Jennifer Golba and I live in Salisbury, MD with my husband Pete and two kids, Andrew and Brooke. I graduated from Parkside High School and attended Wesley College in Dover, DE where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I worked as a public school teacher before staying home with my children. Both of my kids attended Asbury and I started working here when my daughter Brooke was in Kindergarten. I love it! I enjoy spending time with my family, the beach and summer!

I am Brenda Hearne and I help keep Asbury Child Development Center running smoothly by keeping track of our financial resources. It is my pleasure to serve the children and families of Asbury Child Development Center!

Elizabeth Jimmerson
4’s Teacher
My name is Elizabeth Jimmerson. I work in the 4’s classrooms. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with the ACDC students at Asbury. It is incredible to see the growth they make socially and academically. I have five children, Cheyanne – 24, Allie – 18, Sidney – 16, Mac – 14, Finn – 11. I’ve been married for 25 years to Joe. We moved to the Eastern Shore in 2007 when Joe separated from the Air Force. I became a grandma in May!! I have traveled to France, Italy, Morocco and several Caribbean Islands.

Aimee Lankford

My name is Aimee Lankford. I will be working in the 2's room as an assistant on T/TH. I am originally from Aurora, Colorado. I moved to the Eastern Shore of MD in 2008 to work for a hotel company. My background is in Hospitality and hotel management. I met my husband shortly after moving here and never left. We have two sons. After having my second son I decided to stay home with them full time. Both of my boys started Asbury in the 2's program. I am very excited that the opportunity came up for me to become part of the wonderful team at Asbury. I look forward to spending time with your children this year.

My name is Sheila Loar. I am originally from Vermont and moved to Salisbury in 2004. I’ve been married for over 20 years and have two children. My daughter Abbey attended Asbury as a three and four year old student. I have volunteered and served as a substitute over the years at Asbury. I value the opportunity to serve the families of Asbury Child Development Center and to follow my passion to work with early learners.

My name is Angie McLaughlin. I am an alumni, past teacher, and past parent of Asbury Child Development Center. I have returned to assist in the office and be a part of the school I have known and loved for a very long time. I received my bachelor's degree at Miami University in Oxford, OH in elementary education K-8. I live in Salisbury with my husband and four children.

My name is Kristen Patey and I live in Delmar, DE with my husband Scott and two children. I was born and raised in Milford, DE and graduated from Milford Senior High School. I received my bachelor of science degree in marketing from Wesley College in Dover, DE. After being a stay-at-home mom for the last 17 years, I am loving my role as an assistant in the 3 year old classrooms.

My name is Jen Shipe and I’m a 4’s teacher. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education, and Elementary Education, and a masters in Instruction. I have taught many grade levels and subjects. I was born and raised in Salisbury. I also attend ACDC when I was a child. I still live in Salisbury with my husband Brian and 3 children. I have 3 dogs and love spending time at the beach!

My name is Christian Soule. I live in Hebron with my husband and son. I grew up in Salisbury and moved to Virginia while in high school. My husband and I moved back to he area over twenty years ago. I previously worked at an elementary school in Wicomico County in the office. I love being an aide and working with all the children here at Asbury.

My name is Hailey Southern. I work in the 4’s classroom. I am getting married in May for my fiancée Kollin, so the planning is in full swing. We have a two-year-old puppy golden retriever named Nala, another golden retriever named Koda, 2 cats named Guy and Peanut. A bit of a zoo over at our house, but we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Casey Taylor
Director
My name is Casey Taylor and I live in Delmar, MD with my husband Scott and three children Riley, Blake and Colby. I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education/Outdoor Education. I taught Kindergarten at a local private school for over 6 years. Before working as the Director of Asbury Child Development Center, I was the director of a child development center on the Western Shore. I enjoy spending time with my family at the beach, boating, fishing/crabbing, and skiing.

My name is Laurie Webb. I grew up in Virginia and attended East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where I majored in recreation & Hospitality. My husband and I moved from South Carolina in 2002, and have two sons.
